Dr. Diana Risco is a dedicated optometrist at Dr. Diana Risco & Associates, where she has been providing exceptional eye care since 2000. A native of Southern California, Dr. Risco was born in Long Beach and grew up in Orange County. She completed her undergraduate studies at UCLA before earning her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston.

From an early age, Dr. Risco knew she wanted to pursue a career in healthcare. She was drawn to optometry because it allows her to make a tangible difference in her patients’ lives—enhancing their vision, comfort, and overall quality of life. She has a particular passion for fitting specialty contact lenses, including multifocals and lenses for astigmatism, helping patients achieve clear, comfortable vision tailored to their unique needs.

Throughout her career, Dr. Risco has built lasting relationships with patients—many of whom she has cared for over decades. She finds great fulfillment in these long-term connections and in being part of her patients’ ongoing eye health journeys. She is also an active member of both the California Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association, reflecting her commitment to advancing the profession and staying at the forefront of eye care innovations.

Outside of the office, Dr. Risco enjoys the Southern California lifestyle with her husband, their high school–aged child, their dog, and a rescued Mustang horse. A passionate traveler and outdoor enthusiast, she loves exploring new places around the world and has visited 15 national parks through her family’s many camping adventures.
